Saab's laser operations were acquired by LUMIBIRD in June 2022, and today the operations are conducted under the name Lumibird Photonics Sweden AB in Kallebäcksberget, Gothenburg.

Job Description

As a Tester at Lumibird Photonics, you will be part of an operation where collaboration across functions is part of everyday life, handling new production and repairs, as well as manufacturing various types of laser rangefinders and their components. As a Tester, you will be responsible for testing, programming, and simple assembly in connection with testing. You will conduct electrical and optical tests as well as adjustments on laser rangefinders and their components.

In your daily work, you will use drawings and documents in both Swedish and English, as well as document the tests conducted in both customer-specific reports and databases. You may also perform tasks related to ESD, calibration, and training of new staff. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation and contribute to continuous improvements within the operation.

Examples of Tasks:

• Responsible for conducting electrical and optical testing
• Adjustment of components to achieve optimal product performance
• Testing of prototypes in collaboration with technicians and design
• Documenting test results in reports and databases and storing them according to the LPS documentation process
• Daily coordination of all products in the flow together with other functions to meet delivery goals while efficiently utilizing resources
• Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation

The assignment is full-time with an immediate start and good chances for extension and employment with the client. The work takes place during the day in Gothenburg. The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Lumibird has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Tester, we see that you have a strong interest in technology and electronics. As a person, you are dexterous and enjoy meticulous tasks. Furthermore, you are flexible, curious, and proactive in new situations. You should also find it easy to use computer systems to manage various documents required for instructions and reporting. In addition, we see that you are communicative as the work requires collaboration, both with your colleagues and with other entities. You carry out your work with enthusiasm and precision, where your goal is to deliver on time with good quality while having fun at work!

Meritorious:

• Experience in testing
• Experience in electronics production or equivalent education
• Experience in reading drawings
